Kastel-Knia is the home star system of [[Reks Lih]], where the first civilisation emerged, the [[Kastellian civilisation|kastellians]].

Kastel-Knia is a binary star system composed of one G-type star and one K-type star in close orbit together.

Around the barycentre of both stars, several planets fromed:
#Kastel-Knia AB 1 is a metal-rich body comparable to Mercury but much more massive.
#[[Kastel]] (Kastel-Knia AB 2) is an Earth-like world which hosted the very first civilisation within the system, the interior kastellians.
#[[Krates Acestas]] (Kastel-Knia AB 3) is another Earth-like world that had a surface mostly made of swamps, the Krates civilisations emerged there.
##Acestas Arir (Kastel-Knia AB 3 a) is a rocky moon of Krates Acestas which is extremely rich in [[nakillium]].
##Acestas Was (Kastel-Knia AB 3 b), an icy body which is the second moon of Krates Acestas, has been destroyed during experiments with nakillium.
#Kastel-Knia AB 4 is the first gas giant of the system and the most massive planet in the system. Its moon are not (yet) described.
#Kastel-Knia AB 5 is the second gas giant of the system. Its moons are also not (yet) described.

When [[Kastellian civilisation|ancient kastellian]] civilisation emerged about 2 billion years ago, their technics and technologies progressed much faster than the krates civilisation and at some point they faced capacity issues with their home planet. They eventually decided to colonise Krates Acestas, starting one of the worse war in the galaxy.

During that war, the Krates which were human-like amphibians kept a good resistance against their enemies, repelling them away. The opponents decided then to colonise both moons of Krates Acestas, leading them to an huge amount of nakillium deposits all around Acestas Arir. In a research lab on Acestas Was, they made experiments on the nakillium cristalline structure and its properties, but one of them caused the complete destruction of Acestas Was.

Due to this major event, the Krates decided to allow the kastellians to use their land with the following conditions: make use of it with maximum erfficiency, merge both civilisation into a common one and prohibit usage of nakillium, forever. The kastellians accepted themselves the conditions because they were also afraid of the threat the nakillium made.

After both civilisations merged together a new peaceful era with numerous discoveries started and lasted for around 800 years. It ended with a moral civil war, causing the last fall of the civilisation, leaving only ruins and echoes of the past...
